Welcome - Deaf and Hearing Support

Deaf and Hearing Support company limited by gurantee company number 8419437 also registered Charity no 1151502 funded by North Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group and Derbyshire County Council.

Our aims are to provide the best quality service for deaf and hearing impaired people in North Derbyshire.

We are proud of the close links we have and partnership working with Derbyshire County Council Adult Social Care and North Derbyshire Clinical Commisioning Group Audiology services who make many referrals to our organisation.

We provide many services to individuals and their family and friends:

  • Personal demonstration of equipment.
  • Help and Advice with hearing aids.
  • NHS hearing aid batteries.

Information on:

  • Lip-reading classes.
  • Sign language classes.
  • Local groups and clubs.
  • National organisations.
  • Hearing Therapy.
  • Tinnitus Counselling.
  • Access to Work.
  • Hearing Dogs for Deaf people.
  • Trade Union Industrial deafness.
  • Meniere's.
  • Usher's syndrome.

Our Resource Centre

In our Resource Centre we have the latest technology on display.

You can test out various technical aids and we can help you to choose the right product for you.

We have high quality products for all levels of hearing loss which may assist you to hear:

  • Television
  • Telephone
  • Doorbell
  • Baby Alarm
  • Alarm Clocks
  • Smoke Alarm

We sensitively encourage people to deal with their difficulties allowing each person the time to understand how their hearing aid works and how the various technical aids can assist with hearing some of the everyday sounds at home and at work.
